Spring/Summer Serving Opportunities



  • Program Assistant

    (May ish- August commitment)

    Work closely with the Program Director staff in preparing and running the summer program!  Learn about scheduling, creating games, leading group activities and mentoring other leaders.

  • Senior Cabin Leader

     (age 18 years and up, 1-6 week commitment)

    Lead a cabin of up to 10 campers.  This includes leading cabin devotions, mentoring a Cabin Assistant, instructing camper skills, participation in wide games, camp singing, and waterfront supervision. Preference will be given to those 18 years and older with prior Bible Camp experience.

  • Junior Cabin Leader

     (age 16 years and up, 1-6 week commitment) 

    Assist the cabin leader in all cabin duties including cabin devotions, instructing/assisting camper skill activities, participating in wide games, and other camp activities as determined by the senior staff.  Preference will be given to those 16 years and older with prior Bible camp experience.

  • Lifeguard

    (1-6 week commitment)

    As a Support Team  Member,  you'll oversee and be responsible for waterfront safety in our fun and exciting ocean activities.  Conduct swim tests for campers and supervise them at waterfront activities like canoeing, tubing, cliff-jumping, and swimming in a lake and in the ocean.


    Bronze Cross / Bronze Medallion is required.  N.L.S. certificate is preferred.  


    Because this role will only take part of your time, it will be combined with at least one other position--often that of Program Helper.

  • Photographer / Videographer

    (1-6 week commitment)

    As a Support Team Member, you have  a natural eye for the visually beautiful.  You'll be a keen observer of all the activities happening throughout the week, and will capture high-caliber media of those events.  At the end of each week, you will pare down your work to a manageable number to be used in promotional material throughout the year, and perhaps even a simple slideshow or video of memories to exhibit to the campers that week.


    Because this role will only take part of your time,  it will be combined with at least one other position--often that of Program Helper.

  • Camp Nurse / First Aid Attendant

    (1-6 week commitment)


    As a Support Team Member, you will be responsible for the general health and safety of campers and volunteers, including medical response to injuries, dispensing of approved medications, performing medical checks, medical paperwork and communication with outside medical agents, and the medical registration of campers. 


    Level 3+ First Aid is required. LPN or RN certification is preferred.


    Because this role will not only take part of your time, it will be combined with at least one other position--often that of Program Helper.

  • Head Cook

    (Ideally late June to end of August)

    As a Support Team Member, you will be the weekly leader of the kitchen team.  Working lovingly with Assistant Cooks, you will provide tasty, nutritious, and budgeted meals and snacks for about fifty to eighty persons each week.

    NOTE: You will NOT BE RESPONSIBLE to prepare menus, order groceries,  hire Assistant Cooks.  These are the responsibilities of the Kitchen Manager.


    FoodSafe Level 1 is an asset.

  • Assistant Cook

    (1-6 week commitment)

    As a Support Team Member who's part of the kitchen team, you will assist the Head Cook as s/he prepares all meals and snacks for the week. Duties include food preparation (eg. chopping vegetables, shredding cheese, etc.), preparing recipes (eg. making and baking cookies, etc.), and serving food to all campers and volunteers.

  • Camp Speaker

    (1-6 week commitment)

    As a gifted speaker you will prepare and lead teaching sessions to children, youth, or families, depending on the camp session.  The teaching will clearly present the Gospel, will be Christ-centred and based from the Bible. Typically there are 8-9 sessions in a week, and they should be engaging, relevant, and age-appropriate for the campers.

  • Office Assistant/ Registrar

    (1- 6 week commitment)

    Work with the senior staff to keep office work in order including answering phones, data entry, filing paperwork, answering parent questions and other participation in camp as determined by senior missionaries.

  • Skilled Activity Leader

    (1-6 week commitment)

    Have a special skill or interest that you’d like to share with others? Consider contacting our Program Director at office@hopebaybiblecamp.com to come up with a way to teach your skill this summer, as a vessel to share the Gospel with kids and teens! Some ideas could include, arts and crafts, sports of any kind, drama, music, nature exploration, gardening, disc golf, archery and pelletry.

  • Work Crew

    (age 14 and up, any age and skill level is awesome!) (1-6 week commitment) 

    Working under the Work Crew Leader. Potential duties include assisting with food preparation and service, dining hall set-up & clean-up, dishes, janitorial, general maintenance, special projects and program setup, gardening help.

  • Worship Leader

    (1-6 week commitment)

    Lead worship 2 times per day at chapel sessions and snackfire. Choose songs alongside Program Director that contain biblical lyrics and are age appropriate. Help make projector slides and write out lyric boards. Also help prepare and lead (or delegate to lead) silly and high energy songs with actions.
