A Chapel Speaker prepares and leads Christ-centred and Bible-based teaching sessions to children and youth, and sometimes to families. Typically there are 8-9 sessions in a week, and they should be engaging, relevant, and age-appropriate for the campers.

If you're applying to be a CHAPEL SPEAKER, this is a separate and shorter application process!

Please follow these steps:

1. Complete the Short Application Form of One Hope Canada and submit* it to us.

2. Complete your RCMP Criminal Record Check.

Go to your local police station and tell them you’re volunteering at a summer camp and need a criminal record check. Usually there is no cost for volunteer positions.  You may also print this cover letter to bring with you.

There will be forms to fill out, and then you will return a few days later to pick up the completed record check, and submit it to HBBC.*

Once the above steps are completed, we will give you confirmation (if applicable), and send you info to complete Step 3.

3. Complete the short 'In Safe Hands' training online.

'In Safe Hands' is our commitment to safety for our staff and campers. All staff and volunteers are required to complete and keep up-to-date on the training and policies.

We'll be in touch with you!
